To cute to not share!!

Just a little dress up!! The girls LOVE to go to my closet and wear my big boots. Avary came out to show me her shoes and there she stood with her Dora panties, boots and a Avary smile. Hilarious. That is our Avary. Once again, we just stand and shake our heads. :)

The Shrine Circus!!

A couple weeks ago, the girls and I went to the Shrine Circus in Sioux City. We had a great time. Avary had a fever the whole time, which showed up when we are eating, but it was kind of nice because she sat still the whole time. That DOES not happen unless Avary is sick.

I am ALWAYS amazed at what they can get these big animals to do. They are huge but they get them to do some crazy things.

She was unbelievable. I did not even know this was humanly possible.

The girls had a great time and told Dad all about it in the morning. They loved the elephants and the clowns the best!! We did not get home until 11 o'clock so they were a little tired the next day. They took a long nap the next afternoon which was nice, I got a lot done that afternoon. They are already talking about the circus next year.

I am an Aunt again!!!

On March 31, Emmett Jon was born to my little brother Jonathon and his wife, Crystal. Emmet weighed 6lbs 5oz and was 19 inches long. We got to go see him on Tuesday and he is adorable. They girls loved it. They were very excited to see a baby. Cassady got to hold him, but Avary did not want to which surprised me. She usually is all over the babies. Not that day. Well here are some pictures.

We're all better!!

So we have been having the flu bug go around out house, but we have all had it now so I think we are done. I (Angela) started last week Saturday, then Jim, Cassady and Avary had it yesterday. We all had it in different ways, but I am just glad it only lasted 12 hours or so. I just praise God that we are done and he took us through it. I also pray it does not come back for a long time.

Yesterday, Jim had to go to Bomgaars for some parts and the girls heard the word "bomgaars" and wanted to go. THEY LOVE BOMGAARS! (I think it is hilarious). Well Jim said that was fine if they came along so off they went. They were gone for about an hour and finally made it home. Avary was still a little feverish when they left, which she was NOT going to stay home, so I went out to the garage to see how she was doing, thought maybe she feel asleep or something. Well, when I opened the door to the garage I heard "Cheep, Cheep, Cheep". I said, "what did you get?" "WE GOT BABY CHICKS AND DUCKLINGS MOM!!!!" Jim had bought the girls three baby chicks and three baby ducklings to take care of. They loved it. We had to go out to the shed about twice or three times yesterday adn twice today to check on them. They do a really good job feeding and holding them. They are becoming little farm girls more and more. I love it!!!

Simply Amazed!!

We had a doctors appointment on Tuesday and everything looks good. It is crazy how fast baby's grow when they are in the womb. Four weeks ago, I had my first appointment and in the ultrasound pictures, the baby was just a little blob and now it has limbs and was moving like CRAZY!! It is awesome to see God's hand and amazing creation growing inside of me. What a privilage. Here are some pictures for you. The top photo is a picture of the head and an arm out waving at you with it's little fingers.

Here is a side profile picture where you can see the head, arms, fingers and legs. So amazing that so much has developed at 13 weeks. God is AWESOME!!!

What crazy weather!!

So the weather is crazy around here. A week and a half ago we were sledding behind the 4-wheeler in 3 inches of snow and today we were playing ball with no coats on. I am not complaining at all, I just hope that was our last opportunity for sledding till next winter. Here are a few photos of our sledding day!! The girls LOVED it!!!

After the girls were done sledding, they wanted to build a snowman. (Sad to say - our FIRST snowman this year.) The snow was perfect for making a snowman, so we did exactly that.

Did you Know?????

So there is the latest new at the Dekkers house:

Most people already know, but these are the shirt the girls and I made to tell our parents. I printed the numbers on some iron-on paper and put them on the t-shirts. Then they girls got to puffy paint (with a little assistance) their own shirts. They had a great time. I do not think anyone was surprised when we told them (which I expected), but at least everyone was excited for us.

When we told they girls, Cassady just looked at me and then at Jim and didn't say much for a little bit. Then she said "Ya, ..... tomorrow?" Jim and I just started laughing. Needless to say, the girls are very excited. I have been feeling good as long as I eat every 3-4 hours or so. (It is a good thing I like to eat :) ). I am about 10 weeks a long and am due the beginning of October. We are all very excited.
