What have we been up too???

Well the girls have been spending a lot of time outside. They are loving the nice weather. Just lately they spend most of their time on their bikes. Cassady has learned how to ride without training wheels so she thinks riding bike is great. She went from a little Princess bike to a bigger two wheeler. Avary has gone from a Radio Flyer three wheel bike to the little Princess bike with training wheels. Avary thinks she is "SO BIG" now that she is on the Princess bike.

Avary's beginning bike. She first had to learn how to peddle.

Now she is on the "big girl" with training wheels.

Cassady learning on the little princess bike without training wheels.
She is a little tall for this bike, but she could catch herself a little better when she tipped.

Now she is on her big bike and she actually fits on this one.

This is a little late, but over Memorial Day we took took the girls fishing.
They had a great time and caught a lot of fish. Gracie, my niece, came with us.

My "First" has graduated!

Cassady was at Ireton Christian School's Kids of the Kingdom Preschool this past year. She started last August and graduated in May. She LOVED it. She went on Monday and Wednesday mornings and all day on Friday. Each morning when she woke up for school, she always asked if it was a long day or short day. Her favorite day was Friday. She loved the all day activities.

On May 18, she graduated from KOK, but she will be going back this coming August. Mrs. Obbink, her teacher, said she is ready for Kindergarten academically, but not really socially or emotionally. She is also just turning 5 in August, so she would be really young for her class, so Jim and I decided to send her to Preschool again. So she will be doing the official preschool graduation next May. We did not have a big celebration or anything, but we were SO proud of her and all the things she has learned. I just can't believe Cassady is that big already. Time goes so fast. Here are some photos from her big day.

Standing in line, ready to walk out!

Saying the National Anthem.

Receiving her Diploma.

Receiving her Certificate!

Checking out all of her accomplishments!! Way to Cassady! We are so proud of you!

Tulip Festival

Last week I took the girls to the Tulip Festival. Jim was busy in the field so he did not get to come along. It was a fun night for everyone. We went on the ride first which was a good thing. They rode the horses which was Avary's favorite. I would of let them ride all night but the ticket prices were way to much. Cassady rode on the alligator roller coaster with Jorja and Sydney (friends) and that was her favorite. Then with the ticket we had left, they rode on the airplanes.

After the ride, we watched the parade. The girls thought the bands were the best. They would stand in one spot and march with them. It was so cute. They even pretended to be a marching band the next day at home. It was so funny!! Here they girls are watching the parade with Gracie (cousin) and Sydney (Cassady's friend).

After the parade, we headed to the Pizza Ranch for my nephew, Jax's birthday party. So needless to say, the girls had a great time - rides, parade, Pizza Ranch, birthday party and cake. It doesn't get much better then that.

Spring is here and we are loving it!!!

We had tulips in the front of the house and the girls LOVED smelling them. I am pretty sure they did it everyday. The tulips were quite pretty, but unfortunately the wind destroyed them.

The girls also really enjoy blowing bubbles. They get a little dirty and sticky, but they have so much fun. Swing is also a highlight outside. Cassady wants to go as high as possible, but Avary, "just a little push."
"Can we go play ball." That is all we hear. Cassady can really hit the ball, but Avary is still learning. She will swing 3 times and then she is done. She is doing pretty good though. Cassady is starting to think she does not need the tee. So we are practicing and she is doing great. Needless to say, mom and dad are proud.

To cute to not share!!

Just a little dress up!! The girls LOVE to go to my closet and wear my big boots. Avary came out to show me her shoes and there she stood with her Dora panties, boots and a Avary smile. Hilarious. That is our Avary. Once again, we just stand and shake our heads. :)

The Shrine Circus!!

A couple weeks ago, the girls and I went to the Shrine Circus in Sioux City. We had a great time. Avary had a fever the whole time, which showed up when we are eating, but it was kind of nice because she sat still the whole time. That DOES not happen unless Avary is sick.

I am ALWAYS amazed at what they can get these big animals to do. They are huge but they get them to do some crazy things.

She was unbelievable. I did not even know this was humanly possible.

The girls had a great time and told Dad all about it in the morning. They loved the elephants and the clowns the best!! We did not get home until 11 o'clock so they were a little tired the next day. They took a long nap the next afternoon which was nice, I got a lot done that afternoon. They are already talking about the circus next year.

I am an Aunt again!!!

On March 31, Emmett Jon was born to my little brother Jonathon and his wife, Crystal. Emmet weighed 6lbs 5oz and was 19 inches long. We got to go see him on Tuesday and he is adorable. They girls loved it. They were very excited to see a baby. Cassady got to hold him, but Avary did not want to which surprised me. She usually is all over the babies. Not that day. Well here are some pictures.
