The past couple months!!

So it has been a LONG time since my last post. My life has been so busy and blog never made the to do list. We have done a lot of fun things in the last couple months. So here are a bunch of new pictures.

In February, Cassady finished Gymnastics. This was her second year and she loves it!

March pretty much flew by for me. I was REALLY busy working on our churchs 100 year celebration book. I was taking pictures for the directory, laying out the directory, getting pictures together for the 100 year history and laying all that out as well. Jim was wonder dad for the month of March. The celebration went very well and it was a lot of fun. We did get in a Easter Egg hunt for the girl. We went with cousin Gracie.

In April the big excitment was the Shrine Circus in Sioux City. The girls loved it. Cassady watched the entire thing. I do not think she even moved a muscle. Avary on the other hand, was everywhere.

And last weekend we went to Ames to see our little niece, Marae. She was one of the seven babies born to our family and friends. It's a baby boom!!!

Well that is what has been going on in our lives lately. I hope you are all doing well.
Hopefully it will not take me as long to post next time. I will try my best.

Good Night.

It is snowing again. WHAT!!!

So it is snowing again.  I am so sick of it.  It was so nice this weekend and now this.  I just do not understand Iowa weather.

Speaking of weekend.  I had a great one.  I scrapbooked the whole thing away.  It was so fun.  A creative memories consultant from Orange City put a fun weekend together at the Holle-in-the- wall Lodge in Akron.  Kim Huizenga went with me and we got a lot done and had a lot of fun.  We had great meals, a nice room and did some hot tubin'.   I hope to do it again next year. My husband was wonder dad again so that is SUPER nice.  He tends to spoil me, that is for sure.  He said he had a great time with the girls so I am happy about that.

Another exciting thing for me is that I am almost done with my manager position at work.  Back to assistant manager next week.  A load taken off.  My manager, Teresa, is actually flying home tomorrow night and will begin work on Monday.  Being the manager really was not that bad, but I am ready to be at home a little more and not be so busy.  It was a good experience for me these last two months, but two months was enough.

Well that is a little update from the Dekkers.  We are all still healthy right now so we thank God for keeping us healthy.  Cassady and I never did get sick so that is awesome.  There has been a lot of sickness going around so be thankful if it missed you.  I have not had daycare for a week and a half and still don't this week because of influenza so that is getting a little frustrating.  But what can you do.  So thank you to all that have helped me out.

I am off to bed.

So sick of Winter!!

So it has been a month since my last post.  It is amazing how time flies.  We have not been doing a whole lot lately because we have been a little sick over here.  Avary has had a runny nose and has been coughing since Tuesday.  Jim as been fighting Influenza B since Wednesday.  He went to the doctor yesterday to get some meds and is finally feeling a little better.  I am just hanging on tight that Cassady and I do not get sick.  There is a lot of sicknesses going around right now and it is getting really old.  I am definitely ready for some warmer weather.

The most recent change for us is the idea that we are moving.  We are not moving far, just 3 miles straight east of where we are now.  It is a bigger acreage with some more hog barns.  We have also sold our acreage already.  It is crazy how God has everything planned out, even when you least expect it.  We were planning on living here for a LONG time, but God has a different plan.  We are definitely learning to trust him and follow his lead.   So needless to say we are going to have a busy summer getting ready for that.  October 1 is the tentative moving day.

Here are some random pictures from the past month.

It is FREEZING outside!

So it is freezing here!! The actual temperature last night was 18 degrees below zero.  No that is not wind chill, that was actual temp.  We are getting a little sick of it.  Anyway, not much to post.  Avary is finally feeling a little better after fighting a bad cough.  She was tested for RSV and flu, but that came back negative which was really good.  The fevers have come and gone, which means the girls cannot go to daycare.  So Jim has been wonder dad.  He has been such a great help. Because I have not been around much lately.  I am in charge at work right now and it is a little over whelming.  The printer was down for about 4 days and I had to work from 9 am till 11:30 pm with a hour and half break for meals on Tuesday.  Needless to say it was a LONG day.  But I got Wednesday off so that was nice.  Well that is about all that is new here.  Just wanted to update you and show you some pictures.

Speaking of pictures, we just had Avary's 18 month pictures take.  Yeah, she getting way to big.  Here is the website and the password is Avary18.  hills.photoreflect.com. NO www.
