RaNdoM!!!

Well it has been to long AGAIN!!! I do not know what my problem is, but it take me so long to get to blogging and when I do, I have way to pictures I want to share. But anyway, here is what the Dekkers have been up to these past few weeks.

Tulip Festival in my home town - Orange City. I spent many days at the festival growing up. My mom also wanted to scrub streets this year so she got us all costumes and away we went. It brought back the good old days.

The girls and my nephew, Emmett thought the big dutch shoes was fun.

We scrubbed streets on Thursday with my
brother and sister-in-law and wow was it cold.

Of course, pictures by the tulips!!!
We were just lucky they were all still in bloom yet.

We scrubbed street again on Friday with my mom and a friend.
The weather was way better and it was much more enjoyable.
We froze on Thursday, but Friday we were sweating it was so hot
and even got a little sunburn. Crazy Iowa weather.

Friday night we watched the parade with our friends and all the kids. :)

Dad and Kambrie enjoying the parade.

And of course, we had to do the rides. They girls would of
done them all night if we let them. To bad the rides were really expensive.

Kambrie also hit a milestone in the last couple weeks. She is starting to eat solid food and feeding herself. It is really cute. As you can see, she likes to ham it up.

Here she is with her baby blues and pearlly whites.

We also bought the girls a tramp and they LOVE it.
I am pretty sure they are on that thing for a least an hour EVERY day.
Just a little static when we were putting up the net surround.

We also go to get the LONG awaited fishing in. The girls have been asking
and asking to do fishing so they were thrilled.
Good thing they both caught one too.

And lastly, Jim and I will be leaving for Sioux Falls in about 15 minutes
to start our trip to Haiti. God has called us to serve and we are SO excited.
Please be in prayer for Haiti.
We are going with LifeLight out of Sioux Falls
and they will be giving updates each day if you would like to hear what
we is doing and how God is working. The update will be on Life 96.5 at
7:45 each morning, on www.lifelight.org or on their Facebook account.
We covet your prayers for safety, but most of all for the working of the
Holy Spirit in the lives of many.

Jade taking Brie for a ride in the wagon.
Jade can not go far without a little chit-chating :)
Coming home!!
Brie has been sitting up for awhile now and is LOVING it!
Well, as you can see, we are attempting chicks and duck again this summer.
We will see how it goes this time.

You know it is spring when . . .

The robins are out with big bellies and singing,

Tulips are up and in full bloom,

The trees are budding and the leaves are coming,

The toys are left in the lawn after a long day of play,

and after the rain, out for a hunt,

for some worms to play with the next day.

We love spring at our house and we hope you are enjoying too.
God is so good with the change in seasons.

MaMa's Girl!! LOVES!!!

I had to post this because it is so cute. When Kambrie is tired and ready for bed, she will grab my checks and start kissing me/sucking on my checks. She then start rubbing her face all over. So cute!! Jim gets so jealous because she does not do it to him, too poky.

She is getting so big!!

Just wanted to start off this entry with a cute picture of my baby girl. It is hard to believe she is getting so big. It seems as though she has been in our lives for a LONG time because of all the challenges she give us, but she is still so cute. OK, I'm a little bias. The last month again has been a little difficult. Kambrie came down with RSV so we were battling that for a week, then she decided she did not want to take a bottle anymore, and now she wants to get me up 3 times a night again. So one thing after another with her and then on top of it all, I have been dealing with some thyroid issues. After a few doctor appts and a biopsy, things are looking ok. I have another check up in July. So needless to say, we have been a little stressed over here, but we are good to go now, thanks to the many prayers sent to the man upstairs. With Him all things are possible.

Now some updated picture of what Kambrie has been up to.

Watching her big sisters playing outside in the snow.

Hanging out in her favorite place, the exersaucer.

Started baby cereal. She was not so sure at first, but it is getting better.

It finally got warm enough for me to take her outside to play.
She got to sitting in the snow for the first time and loved it.

Just playing!

Loves her toes!!!
Well there is a little update on us. Thanks for checking in and I hope you are enjoying the nice weather as much as we are.

A weekend away!!

For Christmas, from Grandpa and Grandma K, the girls went to Kings Point for the weekend. We did a lot of swimming! They had a great time.

Here is Avary after going down the slide.
Kambrie's first swimming experience. She was not so sure at first,
but was loving it by the end. Thanks Dad!!
Cassady posing for mom.
Avary coming off the slide, AGAIN!!
Going again!! Pretty sure she went up and down the slide
15 times. She LOVED it!!
Cassady spent most of her time on the Lily Pads with Blaine.
Learning the back float already?
Swimming with Uncle Jon.

Avary coming down the slide again. Notice she is backwards.
She would go to the top all by herself (because we got sick of going with her)
and she would try to go on her tummy or backwards, but they wouldn't
let her, so being the stinker that she is, would turn around
while she was going down. Does that surprise you?
Our cute little baby!
Floating down the lazy river.
Our three beautiful Girls!!!
Exhausted!!
Thanks you SSOOOO much Grandpa and Grandma.
We had a great time.
